Belfast Primark Fire
Director Of Pad Lock Security Locksmiths James Ferrin was quick to announce aid on behalf of the company and its employees that Primark workers affected by the recent fire in Belfast City. The blaze which took three days to put out left a charred structure of the remains of the historical Bank Buildings at Belfast City’s Castle Junction.
Employees of Primary were offered complimentary replacement keys by Pad Lock Security Locksmiths on finding out many had to leave their bags and belongings behind in the fire during the building evacuation. To try to reduce stress and reach out where they could the team announced the ‘pay if forward’ offer to Belfast via twitter and social media channels.
Reacting well the shop located on 155 Northumberland St noted many taking advantage of getting new house keys and car keys cut.
According to news sources, the fire started on the roof of the iconic building and spread throughout within hours with no loss of life. The store was under a renovation project costing approximately £30m.
Director James Ferrin, a young entrepreneur from Northern Ireland said, ” This is our city, and this is a disaster. It’s the least we can do, it’s nice to be nice.”
Recent reports have stated the Primark building is not in a state of collapse since the fire.
